Why doesn’t Thankyou implement its own development instead of funding other organisations?

At Thankyou, communities living in extreme poverty don't deserve poor solutions. Communities living in extreme poverty need solutions that is highly impactful, sustainable and tackle root causes in a systemic manner. Rather than attempt this complex process ourselves that not only requires years of experience, but a deep understanding of the cultural context and landscape; we’ve chosen to partner with local and experienced change makers, who can identify the root causes and tailor effective and sustainable solutions. We’re proud of the part we play in providing funding to great organisations who are doing incredible work, and working with them to achieve great results.
