The Thankyou baby range helps get child and maternal health care to families in need.
Thankyou’s development aim is to fund sustainable solutions for the most at-risk and rural communities through their project partners. For child and maternal health, the World Health Organisation statistics are every 103 seconds a mother dies in pregnancy and childbirth (with 99% of these deaths happening in developing nations), and globally 2.7 million babies don’t reach their first month of life because they don’t have access to basic health care. The range will exist to reduce these stats by commiting 100 percent of the profits to:
- Access to antenatal and postnatal care for mothers and babies
- Building or improving safe birthing centres (upgrading beds, electricity, lights, access to clean water, medical supplies, malaria nets, safe birthing kits)
- Training and education for governmental health officials (doctors/nurses), skilled birth attendants, and female health community volunteers
- Advocating for non-harmful cultural and historical practices to educate mothers and families about healthy behaviours during and after pregnancy
