Thankyou has a vulnerable people’s protection policy and media representation guidelines in place to protect the people we serve, which covers and protects vulnerable groups such as children. As part of the media representation policy, Thankyou only uses images or footage that affirms the dignity of an individual and adheres to best-practice standards of informed consent, confidentiality and honesty. In addition, all Thankyou staff members who travel to visit projects have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent standard. Our goal is to always portray people in an empowering manner, never as poor recipients, but rather as change agents.
