At Thankyou, our goal is to create products with responsibly sourced ingredients that minimise our environmental impact as much as possible. If we need to use palm oil to retain our high level of quality, we use Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). Both our Salt and Clay body scrubs contain CSPO.
As with all of our Thankyou products, we’ve done research on our inputs, specifically around the environmental and social impact of these ingredients. We’ve also talked to specific industry leaders, and also looked at the stances of Not for Profits such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on this issue alongside life-cycle-analysis of palm oil alternatives. At the end of this process we have found certified palm oil (CSPO) to be the best option as it upholds global, recognised standards of forest stewardship and labour rights. While no certification scheme is perfect, we believe by supporting this certification, we play a small role in transforming an unsustainable and unregulated industry into positive social and environmental outcomes.
Our product development team strive for the best possible product and functionality, and are committed to making sure that these products are made sustainably and responsibly. For our body scrubs, this meant using CSPO as opposed to other alternatives.
